Overview of
LSA Events & Creations
A small recap of the wonderful past events and creations that I planned during my time as a secretary and president in ODU LSA. The preparations and time it takes to make sure everything turns out good taught me to time manage, communicate, and network with other peers. As cybersecurity and IT student, I had the opportunity to improve my computer skills more, which helped incorporate my knowledge from inside the classroom to outside.

Through the slideshow, it is a showcase of wonderful events that I put into action with the help of other Latino leaders to bring the community together. Overall, in ODU LSA, I helped the organization by bringing more awareness about our community and culture on campus!

Mis Creations
"My Creations"
Setting up Electronic Ballots
While being a secretary when I was a sophomore, I learned how to be proficient on excel with Google and on Microsoft. I took my skills and from there I learned that you can create ballots on Google and transfer them to excel spreadsheet to view answers clearly and confidentially.

Learning this technique and program to do it with, has led to secure answers, no intrusion, and overall a fair election run.
"Adelante"
( Forward )
"Adelante" or Forward, is a night of ODU Latino(a) alumni coming back to talk to families and students. It is an opportunity for families to learn the different departments that exist in ODU that help students achieve, students to network, and overall learn the different Latino student organizations from technology to dancing.

Planning this welcoming event was very exciting but it took many skills to learn that I didn't have before. From catering, hosting, confirming organizations attendance, confirming alumni coming, emailing the bookstore for donations, and overall making sure everything was running correctly according to the schedule.
"Cafe Con Leche"
( Coffee with Milk )
"Cafe con Leche" or Coffee with Milk, is a very well-known event that is thrown to bring in all members and different organizations to showcase their wonderful talent. It is a night filled with dinner, raffles, and dancing.
As president, I communicated with different organizations and LSA members to showcase, gave out roles to eboard members during the event, contacted a photographer, and finally, the big creation was a video recap presentation showing the outcome of the event.

Creating a video presentation, led to me learning new techniques that I didn't have before. I learned how to edit, add music, effects, and different softwares to make a high-quality video.
